It looks like Ne-Yo’s wife, Crystal Renay is leaving the singer once again.
Renay took to Instagram to share her side of the story, sharing a screenshot of a note she penned. “Eight years of lies and deception. Eight years of unknowingly sharing my life and husband with numerous of women who sell their bodies to him unprotected,” she wrote. “To say I’m heartbroken and disgusted is an understatement. To ask me to stay and accept it is absolutely insane.”
She also wrote that the best thing she got out of the marriage was her “three beautiful children,” but otherwise her time with Ne-Yo was “wasted years and heartache.” She continued, “If someone can’t love you the way you deserve then it’s up to you to love yourself. With no hate in my heart I wish him nothing but the best.”
Earlier this year, Ne-Yo said that the pandemic actually saved his marriage. In February 2020, the singer filed for divorce after four years of being married. But by June that year, the couple had made peace.
“[The quarantine] made us face the conflict head on and what that did is basically strengthen us because now, I don’t have to pull punches when I talk to you,” he told Essence in January 2022. “You know exactly where I stand. I know exactly where you stand and through that we’ve decided to keep going and it’s a more genuine feel to what it is we’re doing now. It’s still a learning process, of course.”
In June 2021, the couple welcomed their third child together, Isabella Rose—and almost a year later, in April 2022, the pair got remarried.
