Shudufhadzo Musida has been appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador for the Global Surgery foundation.
Taking to social media, the Miss SA 2020 who is a mental health advocate expressed excitement over the ambassador deal with the foundation.
“I am incredibly honoured to be part of an esteemed panel, which will be highlighting the impact of Covid-19 on women and girls’ mental health, while also looking at the most promising strategies, and actions for overcoming gender inequality and discrimination. The panel will further discuss how the empowerment of women and girls accelerates Sustainable Development Goal 5 and recovery from Covid-19,” she wrote.
“I am so happy to have worked on this with the Permanent Mission of South Africa to the United Nations and the Netherlands to shine a light on the mental health impact on minorities and marginalised groups; women and children.”
